"I don't wanna spend my whole life asking, what if I had given everything."

I’m over it
I've hit the end of,
delays
disobedience
Naiveness
depression
guilt, shame
self - sabotage
lack of boundaries
overthinking
Overstimulation
insecurities
All this wasted time.
I am sure we all can feel those words. Sometimes our mind brings back unpleasant moments or situations which in turn can lead us to dwell/overthink, and now we could be dealing with anxiety or depression.
What do you do to get through?
How do you turn off the racing thoughts?
Do they really go away?
Maybe our "way to cope" is to utilize a type of numbness; like using substances, mindless consumption, which isn’t helping anything, if it does it’s only temporary.
Or did we push the pain down so far, our hearts are now stone cold?
(only you really the answer, deep down.)
* Sometimes the first giant we face is being honest with ourselves ;
don't worry if you've got breath in your lungs God is not done, you are set free!

Romans 15:7
One thing that took me too long & through too many countless mistakes to realize is that nothing can take that "pain" away like Jesus. Anything that i've done in the past to try and cope or get an escape from pain, really never took it away it just pushed it down so I didn't fully deal with it then more pain got added on top of that. I failed to realize that what I was doing was putting me deeper in the hole. There is nothing too big or impossible for God to overcome. He loves us so much he takes on all our burdens (Matthew 11:28 ). He fills us, he helps us overcome, submit everything to him, even if you don't understand what that means just say Jesus here is everything. He will heal your heart, keep the faith. It won’t always make sense, Some days I feel him more than others but it's Faith > fear & feelings. No matter the fact we won’t be able to always understand, or fully comprehend, even then Jesus leads us and guides us. Something God put on my heart once is “Josie just be still, rest in me, you have so many questions, I hear all of them, I know your thoughts before you even think, and trust me. Abide in me, open your word so you stop spiraling, allow me to fill you up with what I know you need, just give your heart to me.”
Our situations change, our feelings fluctuate, but God is constant, He is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow.
Hebrews 13:8
"You give life, you are love, you bring light to the darkness, you give hope, you restore every heart that is broken."
- Great are you Lord All sons & daughters
How do we know when our "Healing" is.."completed?"
- Does it have "basic core attributes"?
- Is there a blueprint on how to "Heal" the best & hopefully fastest? .
Healing:
Dictionary definition: The process of making or becoming sound or healthy again.
Biblical definition: The restoration of health, wholeness & well-being, often through divine intervention, healing mind, body, soul and reflecting God's power and compassion.
Going off of those definitions it seems pretty well broad,
I'm not seeing too many key ways to actual heal, until we take a closer look,
I'm not gonna throat punch you by forcing you to drop everything you believe in or follow this way of life but this is a legitimate take on how Jesus genuinely healed me & changed mine.
Yeshua (Jesus): Is a real historical figure whose life has been proven outside of the Bible even! Genuinely until Jesus, I never experienced what actually healing was like and trust me i've tried many.. many other beliefs, cultures, practices, people, places, things before I received the truth which was YAHWEH (God) the depth, level and power of the hand & favor of God in just his name alone is chain breaking. In my darkest moments, that's where I first encountered his light shine. When I was desperate, broken, completely just shattered mentally, when I didn’t even understand what “spirituality” really even was, Jesus was there. He carried me and kept me alive during some of the most darkest, depressed, out of my mind.. days of my life. He was the only name, that caused what was suffocating me to be released, and set me free.
We all experience ups and downs & something we all can agree on is there needs to be change for the better in this world. There is things we can do to be the light & live in purity.
Something that stuck out to me that the Bible talks about is, There's no "good vs bad people" there's just people who do good vs bad things. Truth is nobody is perfect, we've all made mistakes. The Bible says (All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 ) : Meaning we're all sinners but through Jesus we are made righteous because His blood was the payment for our freedom.
So there's no condemnation when it comes to Christ. ( Romans: 8:1 ) Only conviction which leads us to repentance because of his love for us.
Condemnation:fueled by lies // Conviction:fueled by love
There is this thing called sin in this world, I know we've all heard of it, but do we really understand the true meaning & real life negative impact? Honestly, it took some time for me to grasp this, so if you're in the same boat this may help you too.

Sin : An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.
"The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)
1 John 3:4: "Everyone who sins is breaking God's law, for sin is breaking God's law.
Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Bible portrays sin as having a destructive consequence leading to death but also offers a path to redemption & eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
Taking a deeper look in scripture here is what else is said about this thing called "sin"
The Bible lists various actions & attitudes that are considered sin including:
Evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness, lust, gluttony, greed, sloth & wrath.
(Mark 7:21-23.)
1 John 1:8:
"If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Root of sin:
Romans 5:12: "Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man & death through sin, death spread to all people, because all sinned".
This verse explains that death, both physical and spiritual, is a consequence of sin.
Genesis 2:17 ("But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.)
Spiritual death : The Bible often uses the term "death" to refer to spiritual separation from God, a state of being lost and without hope. :(
Physical death: The Bible also acknowledges physical death as a consequence of sin, as seen in (Genesis 2:17 and Romans 5:12.)
Gift of eternal life: The Bible offers the hope of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, who died to atone for the sins of humanity. <3
1 Corinthians 15:56-58:
"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
Because we live in a fallen world we can experience negative feelings, poor decisions, darkness but there's hope and light "on the horizon" but using our own strength only gets us so far.
God is omnipresent, all knowing, nothing is hidden all hearts are known. So we have true victory & power only through him.
The world 🌍 will try to tell you different "The world knew him not." John 1:10
1 John 3:1: "See what great love the Father has given us, that we should be called his children; and so we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
John 14:17: "The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
A key verse emphasizing the impossibility of overcoming sin without Jesus is
John 15:5 "Apart from me you can do nothing."
Something that is convicting to me is in (Galatians 1: 6-10)
those who are aware of Christ and have heard the good news & abandon God, it really does show that only Jesus could pay the price we never could. That is a pretty big wake up call, if you’ve been preached the good news yet hearts are still hardened to abandon the truth?!
Oof, tough love & honestly like humility, we should feel grieved when we read this, it should call us out of sin. That is why repentance is so important. The constant surrender of your flesh, will, desires, life every day, genuinely in real life moments (every second).
Gods grace is more than enough, his name alone breaks chains, we are already free, we are redeemed, we are blameless, righteous and Holy because of Jesus, and it's nothing we did it's a free gift from God. Colossians 1:22
When we truly receive the Lord in our hearts, He starts working, and eventually we will be filled with the desire, "willpower" i.e Holy Spirit and want to do what He wants us to, we receive an intimate relationship level with our Father, we are entirely new.
We eventually will start to genuinely wanting to obey him, when you really encounter God bro like seriously nothing slaps harder than the presence of GOD.
The old is gone, the new has come, (2 Corinthians 5:17)
We are no longer enslaved to sin but we are set free
Romans 6: 6-22 explains this very well. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.
For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. Since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him.

^ ayee good looks for your time 🙏 fr email for a treat 🎁 :)
We are sure of this because Christ
was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.
So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin.
Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning?
Of course not! Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God!
Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living. Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this.
Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. And what was the result?
You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom.
But now you are free from the power of sin and have
Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.
Final thoughts/answers to questions:
Here are some key points you can reflect on,
that might help in moments you may need.
How do we know when our "Healing" is "completed?"
We know we've already won and we can find comfort in knowing God will continue to heal us from anything not "bearing fruit" which basically means anything in our hearts that isn't pure God heals, takes the desire away & gives you the discernment to know right from wrong through his lens not our own mere human judgement which already has a "readiness to sin factor" thankfully God can & will make us new. Our normal instinct to sin will change to react in Gods character kinda like the phrase "WWJD" but much more deeper & full of truly empowerment, sincerely meaningful & has authority.
Does it have "basic core attributes"?
You will know a person by their fruit, now the process of the healing may look/feel like "ups & downs" which for me personally I was living like the girl who cried wolf for a huge portion of my life, this could get so deep but from the traumas, upbringing, etc. There is so many factors that affect us but ultimately we do have the choice if we're going to continue in the cycle or be the one who breaks it and that's not always easy or comfortable but it's not supposed to be that's a clear indiction you are growing. That's why it's called "growing pains" seriously until I met Jesus I was always trying to "fix" everything, relying on my own knowledge, opinion, thought process, all on my own strength for a lot of my life I was living in attempt to please others and ended up sometimes compromising my beliefs, boundaries & sadly even my morals, no not a good look.
Though I've been at pretty dark places in my life even still there's other ways to cope that won't make things worse or cause more pain, when you do go through trials. Rest in GOD.
Give the battle to Jesus, invite him in, don’t suppress him, give everything to him! Ask him to wash you in his Peace, love, ask him to help, just saying his name and being vulnerable, He hears you even if “nothing changes” or “you don’t feel anything.”
Mainly I would say the attributes of healing is the heart, and the fact that God does the actual healing, not just "bandaids over bullet holes"
Truly God is the one who purifies and cleanses us, he gets to the root cause of the issue. We learn from our mistakes and wrong doings to the point we stop doing those things & thinking that way.. (there's a serious battle in the mind too, and spiritual warfare.) - ((that's also a super deep topic)) .. and we do a 360 to continue on a healthier way of living life.
Something that is awesome too is when we heal the win isn't just for us either, we become better to others, kinda like "hurt people, hurt people" well healed people, can heal people; also kinda like the phrase "be the light" that's something Jesus calls us to do is to help the lost find their way, help others not make the same mistakes as us, shine & reflect Jesus and just evolve into the best versions of ourselves which again in turn will be beneficial for others as well!
Is there a blueprint on how to "Heal" the best & hopefully fastest? ..
Definitely would speed up the process by not running away or burying the real raw truths about how you are actually feeling/ doing on the inside. A lot has to do with our habits, they could be bringing us closer to where we need to be or keeping us further from it.
The "toxic habits" we do that minimize or drown out the noise or just "make life more "easier" or our "days easier to get through" is a part of the reason we are "miserable" or even "bored".
Truth is we all will always have room to grow and that's what we can look forward to, not being stuck going through the motions of life but genuinely enjoying them and being free from "needing" any idol or something other than God to "get by" we are called to do so much more than just survive.
Healing ultimately will be in Gods timing because he really works everything out of your heart and also our obedience during the process has a factor too, now we can't stop or do anything to get in the way of Gods plan/purpose for our life, like he's definitely mapped everything out and already knows the entire timeline of everything so nothing is ever a surprise for him but we can definitely choose to reject the call, or ignore the responsibilities of walking in his will, which will delay & could cause us to do things outside of his will.
Think about the walk that was only supposed to take 11 days but ended up taking 40 years. Deuteronomy 1:2-3
I definitely don't want to miss out on what God has for me so stay resting on Gods strength, we don't have to be "strong" all the time, his power is made perfect in our weakness & in that he says He is strong, so we will never be lacking, Jesus will always help us overcome, “we aren’t praying for victory we’re praying from victory.” Meaning we already are walking in it, it’s already ours. So it's important we rest in the presence of God, be fueled & keep our oil hot with word of God and stay submitted to him & his will, even if our flesh isn't in agreement. Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray that you don't enter into temptation for the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak"
What do you do to get through?
It's not easy, I surrendered everything still. Getting through is the fact God is the one providing a way out of it all, and having the faith & discipline to let go of everything that kept you comfortable, there's this verse I meditate on a lot..
1 Corinthians 10:13 Any temptation you have is the same temptation all people have but you can trust God, he will not let you be tempted more than what you can bare but when you are tempted he will also give you a way to escape that temptation that way you will be able to endure it.
Putting scripture verses everywhere (mirror, nightstand, Bible app (it’s free) daily verses, etc.) it's a nice reminder that instills spiritual truths in my mind, heart and helps me meditate on Truth. It will impact your life, ask God to soften your heart & pray the Lord comes to you through dreams, signs, visions & wonders.
( I like to call them " God moments") They're so fun !! (:
How do you turn off the racing thoughts?
Prayer, practice, scripture, deepening your faith by repentance and fasting.
God will help you, what you gain after denying the flesh & having to resist what's been your "normal" for so long, the blessings and just the faith boost you get will be so huge like one day we can embrace the challenge of fasting boldly and with excitement because the more we do it, the more we will build up that desire to remain in obedience instead of living in the sin that kept pulling you down, stealing your joy, creating that false sense of peace and taking your time, blessings and what you are supposed to be doing/ having access to. The change God does on your Mind, Body & Soul surpasses all understanding, when you encounter Christ, you just know. He is peace, no matter the darkness, his light always shines.
Do they really go away?
Resist the devil and he will flee, there will be lies that try to exult itself over God but God has the true authority so we have assurance of authority over them & we've been set free. As I am 8 months 100% nicotine free, there has been a lot of days that have been harder than others, sometimes doing the right thing hurts but keep going, hence "growing pains" and the more you do something it will just feel natural and become a part of your routine.
Kinda like waking up without hitting snooze, staying consistent at the gym, healthy eating habits.
In Christ we are new creations, we are not tied down to who we were before, God has washed us completely and renewed us with his spirit and we can receive an overflow of deliverance, healing and redemption. No chains, no strongholds, just freedom.
This is a thought that comes to my mind a lot it's from a Christian song called "Motions" by Matthew West & it says "I don't wanna spend my whole life asking, what if I had given everything." The sting of regret hurts worse because there's nothing you can do to get that time back, but we have NOW that is a huge power. So make the most of now!
"Yesterday is gone & tomorrow today will be." - God gave me this revelation.
Instead of "facing" our battles do we focus on distractions?
The harder days I notice I focus more on the battle rather than the opportunities I have. No matter how long I sit and dwell God eventually pulls me out. It's seriously a muscle you have to build to become stronger and as you gain more discipline it will be easier, so stop letting the "no's in your life, that are "no's" for a reason, distract or eat away at your time when you could shift your focus on the "yes." The no's are in place for a reason.
examples :
Bad // Healthy
smoking // aromatherapy, prayer, fasting, smoothies, water, fruit, fidgets, singing
drunkenness // n.a, smoothies, coffee, teas, shakes, lemonades, groups, breathing exercises, quiet time with God
lust // focus on loving God and what He says love actually is and what it shouldn't be.
depression/anxiety // Jesus, prayer, his peace, his word, worship music, heart of gratitude, forgiveness.
Maybe our "way to cope" is to utilize a type of numbness; like using substances, mindless consumption, which isn’t helping anything, if it does it’s only temporary. What about something lasting ? Eternal? Or did we push the pain down so far, our hearts are now stone cold? (only you really the answer, deep down.)
Become "better" not "bitter" forgiveness is a huge step into healing and true freedom, Jesus says we must forgive others, for we ourselves had needed forgiveness at times
(Mark 11:25, Matthew 6:14, Ephesians 4:32, Ephesians 1:7)
The way to cope is doing the right thing, and sometimes that's harder, no substance, no crutch, no vice, nothing to use that bites in the end like a serpent or leads you to worse symptoms, affects your relationships and tries to weave its self in to your identity. There is real power, real freedom in Christ, letting go hurts, denying the flesh because the sins it entices us to do leads to death, it doesn’t care about the consequences because our flesh isn’t going with us in eternity, these bodies we are in will be in the ground some day, nobody can deny that, our spirits however will go somewhere for eternity, and that is a huge part & reason to have an urgency to seek Jesus above all else.
There will never be that peace doing what is against the Word of God, especially when you receive the Holy Spirit, you feeling convicted, is a sign of the Holy Spirit.
No more excuses, I didn't think I could quit my bad habits (on my own I couldn’t, God is the reason) I laid everything at the altar of Jesus and I lean on his strength his power, the fullness of his presence, Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, Honor God with our bodies.
1 Corinthians 6: 19-20
It's not always going to be easy but it will be worth it, it won't always make sense and sometimes we can even question everything but that is the great thing about Jesus He is the truth, he will never lie, that is not in his nature, God is good all the time, not just when our circumstances are. The feeling of losing what your flesh wants will hurt but that is good, you are being pruned, you are being made holy, in the likeness of God, we are to resemble him & the fruits of his spirit, we are called to be the salt of the earth and the shine his light in this world and lead people to him. There are people hurting, there is people who are searching for peace, rest, to feel seen, heard and to know how much they are priceless, loved and known. Let’s be the one who goes the extra mile, be the one who actually does their best to make a difference in our own lives and in the lives of others. God has specific plans and purpose for your life, when we get close to Jesus, everyone else can benefit from that too, when we get blessed it is never about “the fact we got blessed” it’s more about how we can be a blessing to others. God blesses us to bless others.
